Transforming Cities, Towns and Public Spaces through Placemaking
Place Alliance is excited to announce its first Summer School taking place from Thursday 7 of July till Saturday 9 of July 2016 in London at UCL.
Place Alliance has themed with a number of its supporters to develop a summer school aimed at a wide range of professionals and decision-makers involved in making and sustaining successful places.
The aim of this intensive three-day course is to help delegates develop the knowledge, skills and passion to confidently create successful places, whether in an urban, suburban or rural context.
The programme will focus on skills development within local planning authorities and other public sector bodies – highways authorities, the HCA, government departments, etc. – although the summer school would also be open to incoming students and to other professionals wishing to up their skills levels or simply hear about the latest thinking and practice in urban design.
Each day will focus on a different stage of the design process, looking at the issues at different scales.
