This IHBC South Branch Summer Seminar seeks to cover a range of topics directly relating to the IHBC’s Membership Competencies and Code of Conduct. The sessions will consider philosophical aspects of conservation, and their application to real life situations. Good professional conduct relies upon the individual to give accurate, consistent advice, and to understand the wider context within which we operate. Through consideration of applicable law and policy, professional conduct and the balance of conservation values against the needs of building owners and occupiers, this seminar will provide a comprehensive philosophical update and plenty of examples of the application of conservation principles in practice.
