This 2 day course will look at the issues surrounding specifying works to historic roofs, including small and large scale repair work. It will use real life examples and demonstration rigs to take participants through; the common defects and repairs to traditional slate, tile and lead roofs, common issues involved in specifying repair work on these (e.g. cost vs correct materials/craftsmanship, sourcing traditional materials, etc) and lessons learned by those who work with traditional buildings on a daily basis. An excellent opportunity to learn from experts within the field and ask questions about projects you are involved in.
