SPAB supported by STBA with IHBC North’s event organizing support
Since 2009 the SPAB has been dedicated, through continued research, to try to understand
traditional buildings better. Our fifth annual Old Building Energy Efficiency Research
seminar is being organised with the support of the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance
(STBA) and will provide updates on the latest thinking on how traditional buildings actually
perform. We will be joined by expert speakers from leading heritage and energy efficiency
organisations.
Each speaker will present their recent research projects and provide their much
anticipated results, findings and conclusions. We ourselves will publish the most recent
results from our energy efficiency research project. Following on from the success of last
year, there will also be an exhibition of retrofit products and systems that we believe are
appropriate for use on traditional buildings.
