IHBC North West Branch: IHBC North West – Placemaking and Context (Hybrid)

Join the North West Branch and Dave Chetwyn of Urban Vision Enterprise for a day of CPD in Lancaster on Wednesday 6th August. In Person – Arrivals from 9.30am with a prompt 10am start running until 4pm. Online – 10am-4pm. The morning lecture topics include:
- Planning for heritage
- Placemaking and design policy & codes
- Evidence, tools and methodologies
- Legislation, policy and guidance
- Understanding context
- Theory/Philosophy
- Economics
We will then spend the afternoon exploring sites in the city and putting the skills we have learned to practice. Site visits include Canal Quarter and the High Street HAZ supported by Lancaster City Council.
