Location: The National Trust, Heritage & Rural Skills Centre, Swindon

Sunday 21st September – 09.30 – 16.30

This workshop is designed and structured for students who have had no previous experience with decorative paint effects, and for those wanting to gain a more in-depth understanding of the ancient art of faux wood graining, taking their skills to the next level.

Over the course of the day, you will become comfortable and proficient in using the paints and glazes used to master these skills. You will be introduced to acrylic scumble glazes and colourants, used extensively by professionals around the world, and shown their correct use and applications in a variety of situations.

Workshops will be run by Simon Nobs, Director of Snobs Interiors Ltd., with over 35 years experience working as a paint effects artist, specialist interior decorator and designer. The workshop will start with an overview of the day and a brief history of the paint effect over tea and coffee.

£240 – Certificates available for CPD purposes
