In Person | 13 September, 2024 | 10.30am – 4pm<\/p>\n

Join the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Group for a walk around Yoxall, an Anglo-Saxon settlement in Staffordshire, followed by a tour of the Grade II* listed Pear Tree Farm.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We will meet at Pear Tree Farm for coffee and biscuits with the\u00a0owners, Mike and Pam Kingham. This Grade II* Listed building is of the late Stuart\/Georgian period and contains apotropaic marks and graffiti intended to protect the house from illness, disease and fire.<\/p>\n

After coffee, we\u2019ll walk around the village to see a variety of buildings of special architectural or historic interest,\u00a0including a rare Roman Catholic church, and several interesting industrial buildings.<\/p>\n

We will then have lunch at The Crown pub, before returning to Pear Tree Farm for a tour with the owners.<\/p>\n
