{"id":7469,"date":"2018-08-14T11:38:26","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T10:38:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/events\/?p=7469"},"modified":"2018-08-14T11:38:26","modified_gmt":"2018-08-14T10:38:26","slug":"building-and-repairing-dry-stone-walls-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/events2600.live-website.com\/?p=7469","title":{"rendered":"Building  and Repairing Dry Stone Walls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>6 &#8211;\u00a07\u00a0September 2018<br \/>\nThe Salmon Bothy, Portsoy, near Banff, AB45 2SS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This 2-day Course will provide hands-on instruction and training in the skills and techniques involved in constructing and repairing Dry Stone Walls \u2013 and is aimed at Private Individuals, Estate and Farm Staff, Construction Industry Professionals, as well as those involved in landscape conservation and enhancement projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CERTIFICATION:<\/strong><br \/>\nDelegates will receive a certificate acknowledging their successful completion of the course.<\/p>\n<p><strong>INSTRUCTION:<br \/>\n<\/strong>The course is being \u00a0led by Euan Thompson, a highly skilled and experienced Dry Stone Waller and Instructor who, in addition to his work with the Scottish Traditional Skills Training Centre, has carried out numerous highly successful walling projects for a wide range of private and public sector clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOTHING (PPE):<br \/>\n<\/strong>Those attending will be required to wear stout footwear and outdoor clothing.\u00a0 Boiler suits, hard hats, safety goggles &amp; gloves are provided.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REGISTRATION:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Delegate places on the course will be secured by sending a cheque for the course fee of \u00a3175 made payable to \u201cThe Scottish Traditional Skills Training Centre\u201d by post to: Towie Barclay Castle, Auchterless, Turriff, AB53 8EP.
