Event overview:<\/b><\/p>\n

Earlier this year we asked the people of Scotland about their heritage and what it means to them. We had\u00a0nearly 2,000 responses from all of Scotland\u2019s local authority areas to our online survey and 200 people took part in workshops held across Scotland. The results of the survey and workshops have been\u00a0published\u00a0on our website at:www.historicenvironment.scot\/wyh-report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The What\u2019s Your Heritage? research will guide the review of our Historic Environment Scotland Policy Statement which sets out how we manage change to Scotland\u2019s historic environment and how we can explore new ways to deliver Our Place in Time, Scotland\u2019s strategy for the historic environment.<\/p>\n

We are now analysing the results of the survey and workshops and we would like\u00a0you\u00a0to help shape our future policies and practice. The results so far suggest that there is potential to change the way that we work as a national body. The aims of the day will be to:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0introduce the findings of the What’s Your Heritage analysis, identify the gaps and opportunities \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 and what they mean for HES
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0discuss current policy and share ideas
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0build partnership opportunities<\/p>\n
