{"id":5827,"date":"2016-08-19T10:14:26","date_gmt":"2016-08-19T09:14:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/events\/?p=5827"},"modified":"2016-08-19T10:14:26","modified_gmt":"2016-08-19T09:14:26","slug":"extraordinary-people-extraordinary-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/events2600.live-website.com\/?p=5827","title":{"rendered":"Extraordinary People, Extraordinary Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>13-14 October<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Birmingham<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Join us on 13-14\u00a0October at The\u00a0Old Library at the Custard Factory in\u00a0Digbeth for the\u00a0national conference for everyone\u00a0involved in\u00a0creating viable new uses for old buildings and the launch of Heritage Trust Network.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s\u00a0conference is\u00a0<strong>Extraordinary People, Extraordinary\u00a0Projects<\/strong>\u00a0and over two days there will be a fantastic line-up of\u00a0speakers and workshops\u00a0giving strategic direction, practical advice and plenty of opportunities for peer support and networking.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers include: Sara Crofts (Heritage Lottery Fund), Ian Morrison (Architectural Heritage Fund), David Mitchell (Historic Environment Scotland) and Iain Greenway (Director of Communities Northern Ireland.) There will also be talks and workshops on working and collaborating with young people, crowdfunding, community shares and social media along with case studies from Heritage Trust Network\u2019s members who will share how they are future proofing their organisations.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also mark the official launch of Heritage Trust Network, the culmination of a year of review and change, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The conference dinner will be held at Highbury, one of Birmingham\u2019s most\u00a0iconic\u00a0historic buildings, hosted by the new heritage trust tasked with its future.
