{"id":5647,"date":"2016-05-31T18:21:32","date_gmt":"2016-05-31T17:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/events\/?p=5647"},"modified":"2016-05-31T18:21:32","modified_gmt":"2016-05-31T17:21:32","slug":"prescot-townscape-heritage-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/events2600.live-website.com\/?p=5647","title":{"rendered":"Prescot Townscape Heritage Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>9 June 2016<br \/>\nPrescot<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FREE day of training to local contractors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prescot Townscape Heritage Initiative is delighted to be offering a FREE day of training to local contractors, delivered by the extremely skilled and knowledgeable Alan Gardner, a member of the national SPAB Technical Panel and advisor to the Churches Conservation Trust, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The training will equip contractors with the knowledge and skills to be able to tender for work on historic buildings, particularly Lottery-Funded projects such as the THI, with the aim of increasing the pool of local businesses maintaining and enhancing our local heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Renovation, reconstruction and the maintenance of historical buildings involves specialised skills and techniques.
