IHBC Mate Session

27 March - 14:00 - 17:00

£10

You are invited to attend an online IHBC Membership Application Training Event (MATE). This will last approximately 3 hours. This MATE will be led by Ramona Usher/Sean O’Reilly/Fiona Newton.

How will the online MATE work?

The format is similar to the familiar in person MATE, helping you to understand the IHBc Application process and how best to complete your application.

The MATE will be delivered through GoToMeeting. Log in details will be provided closer to the event. GoTo Meeting is similar to many meeting platforms you may already be familiar with

All delegates will be encouraged to raise issues specific to their experience and application.

All online discussions are without prejudice to any future application.

A good internet connection is required.

All preparation and event hours qualify as IHBC CPD hours.

What will I need to do in advance?

As an online event, it requires more advance preparation and more discipline than a physical event. You will be required to prepare and supply in advance of the event:

A brief CV or link to an online profile, such as on Linkedin (if you have not already supplied this)

An example of work that you might use in your application. Text, drawing or photo at the equivalent of A4. The work should illustrate a significant part of any of the four Areas Of Competence, or their underpinning competences, as described in the application forms or online. This is required so you are able to effectively describe the example to MATE delegates, outlining how it may represent your conservation skills, knowledge, and/or experience during the competence surgery discussions in the MATE session.

We will take screen shots/photos during the event. If you wish to opt out of this, please let Ramona know by emailing her: professional@ihbc.org.uk

*Please note* – ‘Sales’ for virtual MATE Session end on the Sunday prior.
